Father's Day 2014

I thought Mother's Day was going to be singlehandedly the most important new holiday I would now be able to experience. Unbeknownst to me, Father's Day was more exciting and a tug at my new mommy heart strings. I really don't think there is anything cuter than seeing my husband with our son. Even as I write this, I get an overwhelming feeling of love and gratitude to have Bobby as my partner in crime and father of our sweet baby boy Dane.

For Father's Day this year I decided to invite Bobby's family over for a cookout. I really wanted Bobby to be able to celebrate with other Dads in the family. Bobby's sister Katee, her husband Mike, and two kiddos drove an hour to come hang out with us. Bobby's other sister Terri, her husband Jeff, and their two kids also came to celebrate Father's Day with us.
It was a treat to have some adult conversation since my little buddy (Bugs) is not talking back to me yet. I am one blessed Mommy! Happy 1st Father's Day to a great Daddy and a wonderful husband! I love you to the moon and back. Until the next adventure...Love & Pray!

Now without further ado here are the photos from Bobby's 1st Father's Day. (drum roll pls)......
(My photos are out of order and I was unable to fix them after an hour. Dane will not allow me any more time to try and correct my error so please forgive the messiness of this blog)

Sawnee Mountain Preserve

I have been wanting to hike Sawnee Mountain since we arrived in Georgia and today I finally got the chance. I had asked Terri if her and the kids wanted to join us on our little family adventure. I was so glad they said yes because Terri told me later that she had wanted to hike the mountain for years but never got around to doing it just yet. It could not have been a better day for a hike as the temperature was perfect! The hike was about 1 1/2 miles long and I found out very quickly how out of shape I am with the frequent stops I had to take. HA! With that said, Bobby carried Dane (13lbs) all the way up the mountain. That's why I married him... strong and manly! I loved hiking with the family and I hope to go back once my legs don't feel like jello anymore. Maybe next time I will be the one to carry Dane up the mountain! How many of you laughed at that sentence? I laughed while writing it haha! Until the next adventure Love & Pray!
