Dane's 1st Pool Day

The weekend before June 17th Bobby and I took Dane to Terri's neighborhood pool for the first time.
He loves it! (I always say that) Dane slept during most of it but it was a good experience for him. I am so proud of my little buggy! Now this weekend he may get his first boating experience. Such a big boy! I got Dane a lifejacket that fits him but he hates it. haha The front of it looks like he has a phone book on top of his chest from the extreme flotation device on the front. Even though buggy hates this it will make sure to keep him floating on his back. It's really neat the things people have come up with since I was a kid! Until the next adventure...Love & Pray!

Look at this cutie!

Family Photo

Look at buggy's awesome cousins who couldn't wait to be in the water with him!

He is having a blast can't you tell? haha

Peter's Bday Party

Dane's cousin Peter had a birthday party at his house near Athens Georgia. Dane was finally doing better with staying awake during the day and staying on schedule. I was so glad we got go and spend time with the family. Peter's birthday cake was a volcano with dry ice in the middle to make it look like the volcano was going to blow. So amazing! I didn't have my camera with me and didn't get a photo of it but trust me it was really neat.
Later the Hughes Family spanked the pants of Jeff and Mike with a nice hot game of horseshoes.
I guess next time we will take it easy on them. hahah
Until the next adventure, Love & Pray!

GiGi Visit

My Mom (GiGi) came to visit Dane when he was three weeks old! GiGi brought her sister Terri to Georgia to meet her new grandson. We had a great visit! I was still trying to get used to being a new mom and having my mom here to help was a blessing. GiGi did ALL the laundry and dishes during her visit. That gave me much needed help so I could focus on feeding Dane every two hours. While GiGi was here visiting we went to a little Mexican Restaurant which was Dane's first little outing in the big world. During GiGi's visit we were sitting around talking and laughing when Dane started making gagging noises. I reached to pick him up and poor little buggy vomited all over the place several times in a row. For a brand new mom I was terrified! I put him on his side and let him finish. Then I looked at my mom (who is a nurse) for help and she so calmly said, "it's ok, you did so good. He is doing good babe".  I then had a rush of emotions and a couple tears. hahaha I guess you are never too old to hear your mom say, "it's all going to be ok" and "good job"!

Thank you mom for all of your help! It was so nice to see you interacting with Dane. We love you so much and can't wait to see you again! Hopefully next time I won't be as groggy and get more photos of these two together!
Until the next adventure, Love & Pray!

Such sweet kisses

Why are baby stretches so cute? I love this!

I am still amazed how deep newborns sleep

Swan House/ ATL History Center

Terri and the kids invited me to go to the History Center in Atlanta. I was so glad they invited Dane and I. I had such a great time and learned a lot! My favorite was walking around the Swan House. It was a huge mansion and was so beautiful. They also had a home from a long time ago that had no electricity and had people acting the part of living off the land in costume. I can't wait to go again when Dane is a little older so he can enjoy it again. It is so nice to have Terri close by to show me  around in Georgia to enrich my sons mind in a fun way as well as getting me out of the house.
Until our next adventure Love and Pray!

Aunt Deda comes to see Dane

What a great surprise to have Aunt Dana (better known as Deda) come to visit Dane at 12 weeks old. This was not her first visit to Georgia. Aunt D came in early December 2013 to visit us shortly after we moved to Georgia July 2013.

This was more than just a friendly visit, this visit was the first time Aunt Dana would hold my sweet baby Dane. Dane loved his Aunt Deda and would spend his entire day lounging around on her. I kept thinking we needed to entertain Dana while she was here but she was perfectly happy just hanging out with us and holding Dane as much as possible.

Aunt Dana even let me run to the grocery store with my hubby while she watched Dane. I thought it would be easier to leave and have 30mins of adult time at the store but it was much harder than I thought to leave my sweet baby. I think I'm afraid he will do something new while I'm gone and I'll miss it. It was so nice to come home to my little buggy asleep on Aunt Dana just the way I left him.

While Dana was visiting we had Bobby's sister/my best friend and her family over for family dinner. Everyone played poker, blackjack, and hung out outside until the sun went down. I had a such a great time with our families getting together.

The visit was too short we miss her and she misses us so she has decided to come back for a second round of slobber kisses and diapers full of surprises!!!! Hurry up August!
Until the next adventure love and pray.
